NEXUS BETWEEN INSTITUTIONAL QUALITY, EMPLOYMENT, TRADE OPENNESS & CO2 EMISSIONS: A PANEL ARDL ANALYSIS

نویسندگان

چکیده

This study employs a panel autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach to investigate the relationships between employment, institutional quality, trade openness, and carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions. The analysis focuses on period from 2002 2021, encompassing top ten CO2-emitting countries: United States, China, India, Japan, Russia, Iran, Germany, Saudi Arabia, South Korea, Indonesia. Study explores how frameworks, in conjunction with economic factors impact environmental outcome. Research emphasizes potential of strong quality stimulate trade, growth, improvements life. Models developed predict an increase CO2 emissions linked higher development, energy consumption, industrialization, openness. findings highlight significant correlation variables (IQ), employment (EMP), & openness (IMP) levels over long term. By employing comprehensive ARDL approach, this provides valuable insights into intricate

The Productivity, Trade, & Institutional Quality Nexus: A Panel Analysis

We estimate the relationship between productivity and trade for a panel of countries over the period 1980 to 2000 using instrumental-variables estimation of a productivity equation. We note that some estimates of productivity gains attributed to trade capture instead the roles of institutions and geography. The endogeneity of trade and institutional quality is accounted for by using instruments...

Trade Openness and CO2 Emissions in Iran, 1971-2008

The increase of greenhouse gases (GHG) in which CO2 emissions constitute the principal component, is of major environmental problems of all societies. Economic growth impels intensive use of resources and as a result, more residues and wastes thrown in the nature that could lead to environmental degradation. This article tries to trace the eventual relationship between trade openness and enviro...

Testing the relationships between energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and economic growth in 24 African countries: a panel ARDL approach.

This study complements existing literature by examining the nexus between energy consumption (EC), CO2 emissions (CE), and economic growth (GDP; gross domestic product) in 24 African countries using a panel autoregressive distributed lag (ARDL) approach. The following findings are established. First, there is a long-run relationship between EC, CE, and GDP. Second, a long-term effect from CE to...

ICT, openness and CO2 emissions in Africa.

This study investigates how information and communication technology (ICT) complements globalisation in order to influence CO2 emissions in 44 Sub-Saharan African countries over the period 2000-2012.
